Alas, I must apologize for my terrible inconsistency. Life, school, and activities dominate my life right now. If I don't schedule something, I take a chance to lay around, sadly. Here's January in quick review: school, activities, homework, work if possible. Current activities include: jazz choir, Large Group Speech- LGS (theatre), and mock trial. And adding to the mix now in February: individual speech (storytelling Junie B. Jones) and solo/ ensemble contest for choir. Soon enough LGS will finish and I can breathe more, but I don't count on it. Homework has become heavier and tiredness catches up with me. I don't mean to sound whiny or ungrateful, but I hate not having time to work on other important things like scholarship applications or, dare I say it, clean my room! For the past two days, though, my school has had snow days!!! As a senior who does NOT have to make them up, bring 'em on!!
I must confess that as I write (type) this, I am listening to some of my latest obsession, Moulin Rouge . For those who have not had the fortune of watching this lovely movie-musical, I will give a short synopsis. Christian (Ewan McGregor, aka Obi-Wan Kenobi) moves to 1900's France and winds up at the Moulin Rouge, a club, where he meets Satine (Nicole Kidman). What do you know, they can both sing and fall in love! :) I will also add that the movie is rated PG-13 for a reason, so don't watch this movie if you aren't mature enough! Satine is a prostitute at Moulin Rouge, and there is partial nudity. For me, the positives outweigh the negatives, but please adhere to my warnings!! Because I love and appreciate you all, I don't want you to go against any values or parental guidance. The singing is wonderful, and you can't help but to fall in love with Christian and Satine! If you are not able to watch the movie, I suggest watching some YouTube clips, especially "Elephant Love Medley" here.
Anyways, as I finish this, I'm enjoying the Superbowl! Go Packers!! :D
