Even when I'm not consciously doubting God, He proves to me that He knows me better than I know myself! My floor is pretty fantastic, and we all get along rather well. I hear horror stories from friends in other dorms on campus and feel sorry for them. My floor is a family of friends, and I wouldn't trade them for most anything! Not living on campus, we depend on each other more and create our own fun. It takes some effort into 'going to campus', so we all do it together. "Going to campus" sounds like "going to town", and the phrase similarity always makes me feel at home. :) God certainly knew what He was doing when I was placed in this dorm. (but then again, when doesn't He know what He's doing?) We've begun to call the dorms 'home', and our CA is a little like our "house momma". And whenever a girl brings a guy she might be interested in, the guys of the floor weigh in. And vice versa for the men bringing ladies. We're a tight knit group! (see cool college story)
This coming weekend, those who choose to can carpool to an apple orchard nearby. I'M SO EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!!! (i'm not enthused at all.) They have a corn maze, pumpkin patch, apples to pick (of course), hay rides, and animals like cows and goats! :D I wish you could see me as I type this: I'm pretty much spazzing out. haha
Pictures will be possible soon! My family will be visiting this month, and they will bring me the correct necessities to make interesting blogging possible! Yay more fun!
I had my first choir concert! It was pretty fantastic if I do say so myself! I didn't screw up, so yay me! :)
Story time with Emily:
So I was sitting in C.Y. Stephans Auditorium between dress rehearsal and the concert while the other choirs were preparing on stage. The girl next to me also lived in the same building so I asked her what floor she lived on.
Her: "Oh, I live on 6th floor."
Me: "Oh, that's cool. Are you guys really social?"
Her: "Well, we didn't used to be, but now it's better. We try to gather out there every once in a while. What floor do you live on?"
Me: "I live on 10th floor."
Her: "Oh, you're one of those."
Me: "Is this a bad thing?"
Her: "Oh, no, everybody just knows that 10th floor is really nice and friendly, and everybody likes everybody on that floor."
What a great thing to be known for!! I strive to become so well-known for cool things like: 'everybody likes everybody' and 'everybody is really nice and friendly'. I'm so proud of my floor! :) I'm so proud to be a part of the greatness we have begun!
Strive for great things! :)
